Die Mitochondrien sind die Kraftwerke der Zellen. Von allen Organellen sind sie es, an die sich die meisten Menschen (unabhängig von Alter und Kulturkreis) aus der Schulzeit erinnern können.

Meine Absicht mit dieser Illustration war es ein “schönes” Pflanzenzellenmodell zu malen, das ohne grelle Farben, harte Konturen oder gar Text auskommt, um zu vermitteln, worum es sich handelt.

Even if you forgot a large part of what you learned about cells in schools, you might remember that the mitochondria are the power plants of the cell!

My intention for this art work was the creation of a “pretty” plant cell model, that conveys information without bright colours, dark outlines or even text.

Der Auftrag war für das Poster einesForschungsprojektes im Bereich Mikrobiologie einen Sympathieträger zu entwerfen, den man als Sticker an Konferenzteilnehmer weitergeben konnte.

I was commissioned to create an illustration for a scientific research project. The research group intended to print stickers to accompany their poster at a conference.
